Static Radio is a small independent project. These are the terms for using it: what the stations are, whose shows they are, and how bulletins and tips work. Our Privacy Policy covers data separately.
Static Radio es un pequeño proyecto independiente. Estos son los términos de uso: qué son las emisoras, de quién son los programas y cómo funcionan los boletines y las propinas. Nuestra Política de Privacidad trata los datos por separado.
The short version
- There is no account and nothing to sign: using the app means you accept these terms.
- You must be 18, or the age of legal majority where you live, to buy a bulletin.
- The shows aren't ours. We stream them unaltered, straight from each publisher's own feed, and any publisher can ask to be pulled off the dial.
- Static Radio helps you find shows, not archive them: nothing is guaranteed to stay available.
- A bulletin slot is one paid, scheduled 30-second airing. Payment goes through Stripe, and anything we decline to air is refunded automatically and in full.
- You keep everything you submit: you're only granting us a licence to air it, and you're responsible if it turns out you didn't have the rights to it.
- Tips are optional, unlock nothing, and follow the App Store's or Google Play's own refund rules.
Agreement
By using Static Radio, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the app. There is no account to create and nothing to sign.
Who can use this
You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live, to buy a bulletin. Anyone can listen; if you're younger than that, please have a parent or guardian handle any purchase.
What Static Radio is
Static Radio is community radio for podcasts. Each station plays a continuous, time-synced schedule built from podcast episodes published in public RSS feeds. Everyone tuned to a station hears the same thing at the same moment, like a real broadcast.
The shows are not ours
Every episode belongs to the people who made it. We stream audio directly from each publisher's own feed, in full and unaltered, and we do not host, re-encode, or edit anyone's audio. Playing a show here is not an endorsement by that show, and being on the dial does not mean a show is affiliated with us.
If you are a publisher and you would rather not be on the dial, you can opt out at Opt out and we will take the feed down.
It is a discovery layer, not a library
Static Radio is meant to help you find shows and then follow them wherever you already listen. Anything you like opens in your own podcast app. We cannot guarantee that any particular show, episode, or station will be available at any given time: feeds move, expire, and get taken down by their publishers.
Community bulletins
Bulletins are short community messages that air between episodes. Anyone can buy one at Post a bulletin. The rest of this section is the agreement you accept when you do.
What you are buying
A slot is one scheduled play: one 30-second airing on one station. You pick one date for each slot and one time-of-day window for the order. At checkout we assign and hold an available play time for every slot. Pending and paid orders hold those times while review happens; approved orders keep them until they air. Rejected or cancelled orders release those times. Prices are shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is handled by Stripe: we never see or store your card details.
If you opt in to bonus plays, we will air your bulletin again in whatever slots happen to be free during the 30 days after it first airs. They are a bonus: they depend on availability and are not part of what you paid for.
Your confirmation email lists every scheduled date and time in your order. Each station's line-up is rebuilt every day, so a play may land in the nearest practical station break if source feeds shift.
Your bulletin stays yours
You keep everything you own. You are giving us permission to broadcast your audio and to show your artwork, button text, and link on the dial, in the app, and on the public bulletin schedule for as long as your booking runs; nothing more.
You are responsible for what you submit, and you confirm you have the right to use all of it: your own words, anyone else's voice, and any music, clips, or images in it.
If your submission gets us into legal trouble (a copyright claim, a takedown notice, someone else's complaint about how they were used in it), you agree to cover the reasonable costs that causes us, including legal fees. We'll always tell you first if this comes up; it exists for the rare case where someone knowingly submits something they had no right to use.
What we will and will not air
Static Radio aims to center small businesses, community organizations, individuals, and kookiness. Though you may hear corporate advertising inside the podcasts we broadcast, we do not accept it as a bulletin.
We may decline or pull any bulletin that is unlawful, misleading, hateful, or otherwise unsuitable for a general audience. Anything we decline to air is refunded in full, automatically, to the payment method you used: you do not have to ask, and it usually lands within 5 to 10 business days.
If someone repeatedly submits content we've had to decline, we can choose not to sell them future bulletins. We'd rather not use this: most declines are one-offs.
Changing your mind
If you need to cancel a booking, email us before it airs and we will do what we can. Refunds for a change of mind are at our discretion: the slot was held for you and taken off the market. If something has gone wrong with an order, please talk to us before raising a dispute with your bank; we would much rather just fix it.
What becomes public
The name you enter appears on the public bulletin schedule and on screen in the app while your spot is playing, together with your artwork, button text, and link. Your email address is not published: we use it to reach you about the booking, send a note after each scheduled play, and send a final wrap-up when the order is complete. Our Privacy Policy covers the rest.
Tips
Static Radio is free. It offers optional tips as in-app purchases. Tips unlock nothing and gate no content: they are a thank-you, not a transaction. They are processed by the App Store or Google Play under that store's refund policy.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to scrape, rebroadcast, or resell the streams, interfere with the service, or use it to infringe anyone's rights. Do not decompile or reverse-engineer the app except to the extent that right cannot lawfully be excluded.
Our own material
The Static Radio name, the dial interface, the station artwork, and the curation itself are ours, and are protected by copyright and other laws. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the app, not ownership of it.
Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular programming will keep playing.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Made with Best Practice LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Static Radio. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if anything.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles, and any dispute we can't resolve directly will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
Changes
We may update these terms as Static Radio changes. The date above will be revised when we do. Continuing to listen after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Al usar Static Radio, usted acepta estos términos. Si no está de acuerdo, no use la aplicación. No hay ninguna cuenta que crear ni nada que firmar.
Quién puede usar esto

Qué es Static Radio
Static Radio es radio comunitaria para pódcast. Cada emisora reproduce una programación continua y sincronizada en el tiempo, construida a partir de episodios publicados en fuentes RSS públicas. Todas las personas sintonizadas en una emisora escuchan lo mismo en el mismo momento, como en una emisión real.
Los programas no son nuestros
Cada episodio pertenece a quienes lo crearon. Transmitimos el audio directamente desde la fuente de cada editor, íntegro y sin alterar, y no alojamos, recodificamos ni editamos el audio de nadie. Que un programa suene aquí no implica su respaldo, ni que esté afiliado a nosotros.
Si usted es editor y prefiere no estar en el dial, puede darse de baja en Opt out y retiraremos la fuente.
Es una capa de descubrimiento, no una biblioteca
Static Radio existe para ayudarle a encontrar programas y luego seguirlos donde ya escucha. Lo que le guste se abre en su propia aplicación de pódcast. No podemos garantizar que un programa, episodio o emisora concretos estén disponibles en un momento dado: las fuentes cambian, caducan y sus editores las retiran.
Boletines comunitarios
Los boletines son mensajes comunitarios breves que se emiten entre episodios. Cualquiera puede comprar uno en Post a bulletin. El resto de esta sección es el acuerdo que usted acepta al hacerlo.
Qué está comprando
Un espacio es una emisión programada: una reproducción de 30 segundos en una sola emisora. Usted elige una fecha para cada espacio y una franja horaria para todo el pedido. Al pagar, asignamos y reservamos una hora disponible para cada espacio. Los pedidos pendientes y pagados mantienen esas horas mientras se revisan; los pedidos aprobados las conservan hasta que se emiten. Los pedidos rechazados o cancelados liberan esas horas. Los precios se muestran al pagar, antes de que usted pague. El pago lo gestiona Stripe: nosotros nunca vemos ni guardamos los datos de su tarjeta.
Si acepta las emisiones adicionales, volveremos a emitir su boletín en los espacios que queden libres durante los 30 días posteriores a su primera emisión. Esas emisiones entran en la rotación normal de esa emisora con menor peso que los boletines propios de Static Radio. Son un extra: dependen de la disponibilidad y no forman parte de lo que usted pagó.
Su correo de confirmación enumera todas las fechas y horas programadas de su pedido. La programación de cada emisora se reconstruye a diario, por lo que una emisión puede caer en el corte de estación práctico más cercano si cambian las fuentes de audio.
Su boletín sigue siendo suyo
Usted conserva todo lo que le pertenece. Nos concede permiso para emitir su audio y para mostrar su imagen, el texto del botón y su enlace en el dial, en la aplicación y en la programación pública de boletines mientras dure su reserva; nada más.
Usted es responsable de lo que envía y confirma que tiene derecho a usarlo todo: sus propias palabras, la voz de cualquier otra persona y cualquier música, fragmento o imagen que incluya.
Si su envío nos causa un problema legal (un reclamo de derechos de autor, un aviso de retiro, la queja de otra persona sobre cómo se usó su voz o imagen en él), usted se compromete a cubrir los costos razonables que esto nos genere, incluidos los honorarios legales. Siempre se lo avisaremos primero si esto surge; existe para el caso poco frecuente de que alguien envíe, a sabiendas, algo sobre lo que no tenía derecho.
Qué emitimos y qué no
Static Radio busca dar protagonismo a pequeños negocios, organizaciones comunitarias, personas y disparates. Aunque puede oír publicidad corporativa dentro de los pódcast que emitimos, no la aceptamos como boletín.
Podemos rechazar o retirar cualquier boletín que sea ilícito, engañoso, de odio o inadecuado para un público general. Todo lo que rechacemos emitir se reembolsa íntegramente, de forma automática, al medio de pago que usted utilizó: no hace falta que lo solicite, y suele llegar en un plazo de 5 a 10 días hábiles.
Si alguien envía repetidamente contenido que hemos tenido que rechazar, podemos optar por no venderle boletines en el futuro. Preferimos no recurrir a esto: la mayoría de los rechazos son casos aislados.
Si cambia de opinión
Si necesita cancelar una reserva, escríbanos antes de que se emita y haremos lo posible. Los reembolsos por cambio de opinión quedan a nuestro criterio: el espacio se reservó para usted y se retiró del mercado. Si algo salió mal con su pedido, hable con nosotros antes de abrir una disputa con su banco; preferimos mucho más simplemente arreglarlo.
Qué se hace público
El nombre que introduzca aparece en la programación pública de boletines y en pantalla en la aplicación mientras suena su espacio, junto con su imagen, el texto del botón y su enlace. Su correo electrónico no se publica: lo usamos para contactarle sobre la reserva, enviarle una nota después de cada emisión programada y enviarle un resumen final cuando termine el pedido. Nuestra Política de Privacidad cubre el resto.
Propinas
Static Radio es gratuita. Ofrece propinas opcionales como compras dentro de la aplicación. Las propinas no desbloquean nada ni restringen contenido: son un agradecimiento, no una transacción. Las procesa App Store o Google Play según la política de reembolsos de esa tienda.
Uso aceptable
No intente extraer, retransmitir ni revender las emisiones, interferir con el servicio ni usarlo para infringir los derechos de nadie. No descompile ni realice ingeniería inversa de la aplicación, salvo en la medida en que ese derecho no pueda excluirse legalmente.
Nuestro material
El nombre Static Radio, la interfaz del dial, el arte de las emisoras y la propia curaduría son nuestros y están protegidos por derechos de autor y otras leyes. Estos términos le conceden una licencia personal y no exclusiva de uso, no la propiedad.
Descargos de responsabilidad
La aplicación se proporciona «tal cual» y «según disponibilidad», sin garantías de ningún tipo, expresas o implícitas. No garantizamos que funcione sin interrupciones ni errores, ni que una programación concreta siga emitiéndose.
Limitación de responsabilidad
En la máxima medida permitida por la ley, Made with Best Practice LLC no será responsable de daños indirectos, incidentales, especiales, consecuentes o punitivos derivados del uso de Static Radio. Cuando la responsabilidad no pueda excluirse, se limitará al importe que usted nos haya pagado, si lo hubiera.
Ley aplicable
Estos términos se rigen por las leyes del estado de Illinois, sin tener en cuenta sus principios de conflicto de leyes, y cualquier disputa que no podamos resolver directamente se tramitará en los tribunales estatales o federales ubicados en Illinois.
Cambios
Podemos actualizar estos términos a medida que Static Radio cambie. La fecha indicada arriba se revisará cuando lo hagamos. Seguir escuchando tras un cambio significa que acepta los términos actualizados.
